To test the Hisense A6G we used Portrait Displays Calman colour calibration software. Hisense (50A6G) LED review: Gaming

What this basically means is the more Dolby Vision content you can feed the A6G, the better the HDR will look. Thankfully Dolby Vision dominates the main video streaming services and is used by Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV. It’s also fairly common on 4K Blu-ray, which means you shouldn’t find it hard to get the most out of the A6G when it comes to HDR. Hisense uses a simple naming scheme. Starting with their 2021 TVs, the flagship ULED lineup has a U in front of the model names, while the entry-level models have an A. The first letter is followed by a number to indicate where it stands in the lineup; the last letter represents the year; Hisense uses G for 2021, H for 2022, and K for 2023. For example, the Hisense U8His a high-end 2022model, while the Hisense A6H is an entry-level 2022 model. If there's an R in the model code, it means it uses Roku TV instead of Android TV. If you're on a tighter budget, the Hisense U6/U6Koffers great value compared to similarly-priced models from other brands. Unlike the Hisense U7K and Hisense U8/U8K, you aren't getting the same high-end features and performance, but it's still quite decent. It uses the same quantum dot technology, which means it displays a wide range of colors and has remarkable pre-calibration accuracy, so you won't have to get it calibrated to get accurate colors. There are similar models available in the US, known as the A6GX Series TVs, but they're different because they use a different operating system. In Canada, this model is the Hisense A68G, and the results are also valid for it. As Hisense's lineup differs in other countries, the results aren't valid for any similarly-named models internationally. Size Whether you're looking at Hisense's flagship or budget-friendly models, they offer better value than similarly-priced options from competitors. Hisense TVs are often among our mid-range and budget-friendly recommended TVs. The Hisense 65A6BGTUK does not support 8K resolution, the latest TV resolution standard. While 8K TVs offer even higher picture quality than 4K TVs, they are still relatively new and come with a premium price tag. Additionally, there is currently a limited amount of 8K content available, so most users will not notice a significant difference in picture quality compared to 4K TVs. It’s important to consider your needs and budget when deciding between 4K and 8K TVs. No waiver of by Hisense of any term or condition set forth in this EULA shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or condition or a waiver of any other term or condition, and any failure of Hisense to assert a right or provision under this EULA shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. We tested the 65-inch Hisense A6G, and the results are also valid for the 43-inch model (Hisense 43A6G), the 55-inch model (Hisense 55A6G), and the 75-inch model (Hisense 75A6G). The 50-inch (Hisense 50A6G), 60-inch (Hisense 60A6G), 70-inch (Hisense 70A6G), and 85-inch (Hisense 85A6G) models are a bit different, as they use a different panel type from the 65-inch we've tested, so the results from this review aren't valid for those models. There are three HDMI 2.0 inputs with support for 4K at 60Hz, HDR, ALLM, HDCP 2.2, and CEC. One of the HDMI inputs also supports eARC. Contrary to what is stated in Hisense’s marketing, this TV doesn’t support HDMI 2.1, VRR or HDR10+. The picture quality of the Hisense 65A6BGTUK is one of its biggest selling points. The TV features a 4K UHD display that delivers a highly-detailed picture with sharp contrast and vibrant colors. The TV also features HDR technology that enhances the brightness and contrast of the images, resulting in a more lifelike viewing experience. The TV also features a wide color gamut, which allows it to display a wider range of colors than traditional TVs. This results in a more immersive viewing experience, with pop colours and images that jump out of the screen.

Colours look a little ragged at the edges of objects with upscaled content too, and all of the presets bar the two Cinema ones look oversaturated with SDR sources. The Cinema presets, on the other hand, look rather desaturated and flat. This cookie is set by Bazaarvoice. This makes it a cheaper home entertainment alternative to very expensive models from the two aforementioned brands, especially as it supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, as well as DTS advanced audio formats. Unfortunately, its viewing angle is disappointing, so it's not very well suited for a wide seating arrangement. Percentage luminance drop at 35 degree horizontal angle from the centre of the screen with 100% white output The Hisense 65A6BGTUK uses advanced technologies to deliver stunning picture quality. The TV has a 4K UHD display with a 3840×2160 pixels resolution. This ensures you get a highly detailed picture with vivid colors and sharp contrast. The TV also features HDR technology that enhances the brightness and contrast of the images. This results in a more lifelike viewing experience, with pop colours and images that jump out of the screen. Smart Features
