Cullen Bunn: Dalibor and I have talked about working together again—and working on this project in particular—for a few years, really ever since we wrapped up work on the original series. It took a while for the timing to be right, and I knew that only Dalibor could draw this beast. This series, though, is a little different visually. Without spoiling too much, Dalibor is playing with a variety of comic book styles. I think the look of this book will surprise a lot of people. I knew there were going to be plenty of challenges involved in bringing this story to life, but every time I asked Dalibor about it, he simply said, “Bring it on! Marvel.com: You’ve mentioned that Dalibor is working with a few different styles for this book—what could that mean? That’s not to say he will have an easy time of it. There is a core group of Marvel heroes who are opposing Deadpool and trying to stop him. I think seeing these protagonists at work will be a lot of fun. Hey, maybe they’ll even stop Deadpool before he kills everyone! It’s true. There is a vast conspiracy at work behind the scenes here. And while we reveal the members of this conspiracy in the first issue, I think figuring out the mystery of what’s going on will be a big part of the fun for readers. Complete Monster: In Again, The Red Skull is the head of the villain conspiracy. Brainwashing Deadpool with several trigger phrases, Red Skull sends him out to murder every hero he can, while Deadpool is unaware of what he is truly doing. Deadpool proceeds to brutally and painfully slaughter heroes, from adults to children, until Gwenpool, before dying after fighting Deadpool, uses a trigger phrase to return him to sanity. Red Skull proceeds to murder Taskmaster when he decides not to fight Deadpool, and then states he deliberately used other villains to try to stop Deadpool, knowing the latter would kill them and thus they couldn't one day oppose his rule. Catharsis Factor: After seeing Dreadpool kill so many of our favourite characters in both the Marvel universe and the classics, mainstream Deadpool fighting him, breaking him by pointing out how nonsensical his motives are and finally killing him for good is very satisfying.

We sat down with Cullen to learn more about the return of Wade Wilson and his thirst for super-blood in the brand new series. Doctor Doom, Ben Grimm, and Ghost Rider were all killed offscreen. There are also Hulk-like characters like Juggernaut, who have no equivalent to a Bruce Banner form to kill them in. While Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe Again is non-canon to the main Marvel Universe, the comic still shows the perfect way to kill Thor. Nothing is stopping Deadpool or another hero or villain from using Medusa's head to turn the gods into stone. No special rules or cosmic coincidences would be needed to pull off the feat. The real Deadpool could kill Thor in continuity in the same way. Actually, that’s not entirely true. This time around, Deadpool isn’t just setting out on rampant murder spree without direction. He has specific targets he’s trying to take out. I kept a growing list of everyone Deadpool kills in the series. That helped us keep all the deaths straight. Trust me, the list is very, very long.

The former has a spider sense that should have warned him not to get close enough for Deadpool to shoot him, and the latter should have been able to control the trajectory of Mjolnir to avoid being crushed by it.
