About this deal

Ressler, Karen (August 2, 2017). "Japanese Comic Ranking, July 24–30". Anime News Network . Retrieved October 24, 2018. The hell is it going on with this manga? Shoujo is meant for young girls demographic. And this is just toxic! Then I remembered a bunch of older shoujos like Fushigi Yugi, Red River, Kaitou Jeanne, Peach Girl etc. Whoops. They both attend Osaki University after graduating from high school. Sho continues to play college basketball and Yuki begins managing the team. Shou is still an intriguing character for me because although he looks almost perfect (looks, grades, coolness, ability), he's just not and again for the same reason that the story presented the character's awareness of their flaws. As for the character progress, I found his patience to be the most freaking adorable in this manga because he was a playboy and technically speaking, he will lose a lot of time with Yuki once she graduates. Aside from that, I think there's still more to see with Shou's character on how Yuki got his attention and on his motivation towards basketball.

I just want some lovey dovey content, yes, i kinda got them. I just want to see Shou and Yuki happy, get married, have kids, grow old toghether. I was tryna be patient reading this waiting for our couple's character development. But all i get is stupid, unnecessary drama i didn't ask for. The worse thing is, they're the same, repetitive shit: the Shizuka problem. And an anti-character development.

Yuki got NO character development (other than being able to show a couple more feelings towards naruse) Ressler, Karen (October 1, 2015). "Japanese Comic Ranking, September 21–27". Anime News Network . Retrieved October 24, 2018. but it's kind of hard to forgive all of her faults because she's just that "oblivious" or "naive". I think the problem was, the writer did such a good job writing Naruse-kun that you can't really help but empathize with him and his genuine love for the MC. Even the love rivals that appear in the plot are all beautiful and lovable, so when the MC is as weak (some even call her "stupid") as Yuki is, it's annoying. Yuki Machida, a second-year high school student, is the manager of the school's basketball team and has spent her childhood masking her emotions after years of caring for her five siblings as the eldest. During the welcoming ceremony, she meets Sho Naruse, an impudent student a year her junior who also joins the basketball team. Day after day, Sho tests her patience with his selfish and lecherous comments. However, Yuki is in love with the basketball team's captain, Kido, who had recently gotten a girlfriend. One day, Sho finds out Yuki's feelings for Kido, to her dismay, but he supports her during times of distress. After the final match of the year, Sho admits to Yuki that he is in love with her and declares to win her. Yuki later admits her feelings for Sho and they become a couple.

She's a pretty late addition but I love how she is not afraid to face her fears. Like Yuki, she kinda reminds me of me but she takes advice better than I can (sadly...) This serie starts off so wonderfully. It has so much potential to be one of the best shoujos. When the author wants, she can give you all the feels in the world. I was so so so emotionally invested in the characters. Ressler, Karen (September 28, 2016). "Japanese Comic Ranking, September 19–25". Anime News Network . Retrieved October 24, 2018. okay so i recently just saw bunch of tikoks recommending this manga, so i decided to start reading it. let me tell you, i was very much binge reading it through for like four days straight, it was great. i thought that the female lead, Yuki was very much like misaki; headstrong, responsible, reliable, helpful etc. i especially liked how she wasn't easy to give into any men (how i was wrong..), how humble yet hard working she was.. basically i thought she was a better version of misaki. This review may contain minor spoilers on events that happen in further chapters. A live-action short movie was released on Hakusensha's official YouTube channel on February 20, 2018 to promote the release of the 12th volume. The film starred Kaho Mizutani as Yuki and Ikumi Isaka as Sho. just so intense to see those 2 rivals. and with that, they have really made this manga a ton of blast. though its not over yet. Ressler, Karen (November 29, 2017). "Japanese Comic Ranking, November 20–26". Anime News Network . Retrieved October 24, 2018. Cheeky Brat is written and illustrated by Mitsubachi Miyuki. It was serialized in the bimonthly magazine Hana to Yume from November 2013 to December 2021. Yen Press is publishing the series in English. damn i love this manga so much. well theres some part that i dont really like such as shizuka being a little bitch. well i think that's what makes this manga special. that amount of uneasiness that they left to the viewer so that they are craving for more chapters.

Ressler, Karen (June 27, 2018). "Japanese Comic Ranking, June 18–24". Anime News Network . Retrieved October 24, 2018. there's also no real wedding, no children and no growing old together but what was i expecting when the root basic problem (which is communication) is not even solved. This manga's ending left you with nothing but this lingering feeling of unsatisfaction because it ruined your nostalgic teen love for it. If you have a partner, pls treat them right. It would have been a lovely manga if Yuki loved Naruse better: giving him all her attention, appreciating him more, caring less about what other people think, making him feel safe, sayinf love affirmations to him more (look how happy Naruse is even with Yuki's small confirmations of love, which is a good progress from Yuki, if it's not for the latest chapters that ruined everything). I really like Namai's art style. The characters are drawn very cleanly(?) and the cutting isn't too confusing. Naruse is especially eye-catching (though I guess that's a given...) The other characters are also drawn with pretty distinctive traits, so it's easy to recognise them. Ressler, Karen (March 2, 2016). "Japanese Comic Ranking, February 22–28". Anime News Network .
